It starts in my belly

Then up to my heart
Into my mouth I can’t keep it shut
Do you recognize the smell

Hey there,

First, and foremost: fuck fuck fuck

I haven’t posted recently, because I have been busy studying, only to find out today (the test was supposed to be tomorrow), that this test had all the stuff that we learned, PLUS, the stuff that we ARE GOING TO learn, so… Yeah….

I asked for 2 vacation days at work so I could study for this test (besides the 2 days that we’re already entitled to), only to find out that I am not going to do this test. Well… But not all is lost, I’ve caught up with the subjects, so it’s ok, though today I’ve had an awful day. So you can have an idea, I had lunch at 11:20 at home, so I could go right away to the school’s library to study. *shrug*

Anyways…. Critical really is turning into GooglePlex! Now they are going to provide a mini-bus to take workers from down town Coimbra to the headquarters! Freakin’ awesome I’d say! I wish I could use that, but I live a bit far from the pick up points.

So yeah.. Kind of tired, and I WANT to get up early tomorrow morning, so I’m going to take a shower (yes… I am one of those that take showers at night, as opposed to in the morning), perhaps hear some songs in bed, and go to sleep.

First, and foremost, I need to inform all of you, that I have KICKED TIAGO’S ASS on a Badminton and Basketball competition. I went to the gym yesterday, and I also went there today, I rowed, I pulled weights, and I biked, but STILL, I kicked his ass! THERE!

Anyways, on with the photo!

ImageShack

That’s Anya, and Omeno on the photo (I don’t think neither of them read this blog). Omeno is studying Photography in Tomar, so kudos for her!

Oh… And note to self, always scan B&W photos to 16 bits TIFF files, it makes a hell lot of a difference! I should rescan all my previous photos, this way. It’s THAT different :-)

Ohhh and if you have the time, take a look at these photos, really street photography going on! I envy that guy. Great equipment, and great photos!

What’s your one purpose in life?

to explode, of course

AntiloopPurpose in Life

I was waiting for about 4 months for some advice on where to invest, since the advice never came, I’ve invested 2000€ on the stock market (as of tomorrow, I am an investor!). Let’s wait and see :-)

School is starting to get busyyyyy. Though I have already corrected one teacher on a class forum. Still no reply from him though. *shrug*

Yesterday, it was CONTACT LENSES day! Well… Remember the film A Clockwork Orange? That’s pretty much what happened…

ImageShack

She had to pin me down against a wall to get the contact lenses in! lol! I actually asked if she knew this film, but she didn’t. I thought of offering her a copy of this film, but I think that would be too far fetched.

After she got the lenses in, I went for a walk, came back, tried to take one out all by myself, couldn’t do it, she had to do it. Tried to put one alone, and after much trying, I did! w00t!

At home, at night, I had to remove both of the contact lenses, and I DID IT! It’s actually pretty easy to remove them.

That’s why, darling, it’s incredible

Unforgettable, thats what you are
Unforgettable though near or far
Like a song of love that clings to me
How the thought of you does things to me
Never before has someone been more

I have only sung this song once, and I haven’t regret it.

  • Today I went for another Critical bike ride. *YAY*
  • Turns out my Critical’s health insurance will pay for 80% of my eyeglasses expenses *YAY*
  • If I had accepted to go to Holland for 6 months (or a bit more), I would receive about 4000€ + my base salary every month *NAY*
  • Exams are starting, so I took a few days to study (besides the 2 days Critical gives me, one before the exam, and one on the exam day) *NAY*
  • I’m doing some blood work and other exams Friday to try to find out why my blood pressure is high *SIGH*
  • Tomorrow I’m going alone to the gymnasium, because Tiago can’t come back (he could only go 2 times) *NAY*

Anyways… Enough of randomness…

ImageShack

Well… it’s not easy at all to photograph a very fast moving target with a range finder (no autofocus) using very small apertures on fast film, which was the case, but despite the cat being a bit OOF, you can see how sharp this lens/film (even though it’s 400 ISO) can be, take a look at this detail:

ImageShack

Can you see how sharp that string is? Amazing…

today

today
the words don’t mean enough for us to say
for us to say
today
to steal the moment that we gave away
we gave away
gave it away

I was kind of bored at work, so I’ve decided to go to the bar to have a _plastic cup_ of water. On my way up there, I’ve come across a colleague of mine that was in the same situation, and so we decided to go to outside to get some fresh air.

When outside, I’ve remembered the bicycles Critical had on the garage, and decided we should go for a ride, and so we did. We’ve actually found a pseudo-BTT track near by, and had some fun over there. It was great to blow off some steam, and give the bicycles some exercise ;)

About an hour after I got to my place, my Project Manager asked me if I wanted to go play foosball. Sure… why not? I do suck a very lot at foosball, so after losing 2 games in a row, I played ping pong for a while (it even got me sweating!) .

I’ve also found out that Critical will be wanting someone to go to Angola for 6-12 months to work as a sysadmin on a fat pay check. Now that would be fun for a change! I wish I could go. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and they asked me if I wanted to go to Holland, but this time for 5 months. sux.

Speaking of Angola, this is alma-lunar, I don’t think she reads this blog either, but here she is:

Not very happy about how these turned out, but since I haven’t been getting any feedback, I won’t do a proper scan, because it’s too late, and I have to wake up early tomorrow.

Meet Valdo M. Ribeiro (too much girls already :-P ).

I don’t really have much to say today, so I’ll just post the photo (taken in Sintra).

ImageShack

Much like Sofia on the previous post, he does not read this blog, but he’s a cool cat anyway :-)

If you want nice photos, check out the posts below, this one doesn’t have nothing special.

Sofia

So, who do we have for today? Vânia Sofia.

First and foremost, I’d like to warn my relatives (father and auntie t), that she is not my girlfriend, ok? :-P

We have a very strange relationship. It’s really cool when we’re together, and we sometimes do some crazy unexpected stuff, and have a good time, but these are very rare occasions, because we always end up fighting about something stupid, and although everything’s solved in the end, we kind of lose touch. At least, this is the way I see it.

ImageShack ImageShack

On this one, I was focusing on the couple, while trying to keep Sofia inside the frame:

And on this one, I was telling her how I love rangefinders, because you can take photos without people noticing you (because of the small camera, and very low noise. But I was making such a big fuss about it, that I think the man got the picture (no pun).
