Just did my first iMovie projects. It seems easy enough to do some simple things. There are some really awesome project themes, but I don’t have enough clips to make something decent as of now. Anyway, it should be enough for me, without diving into Final Cut Pro.

Me and Marisa are more and more happy about the Sanyo VPC HD2000. Below you’ll find a video I shot this morning just to check its macro capabilities, which apparently aren’t that bad.

Going through the motions with this camera has made me realize that I haven’t had the time lately to enjoy the fine photographic equipment I have, mainly the enlarger, and the fine lenses for the Zeiss. I can only wish I get the time and opportunity to enjoy all of this, as well as this video camera.

The holidays season is approaching at a fast pace, so I can only hope I get to enjoy my hobbies to the fullest with Marisa.

On other news, some professional changes may happen during this next week. We’ll see. I promise I’ll try to keep you posted.

Desde o dia 27 de Julho até ao passado dia 8 de Agosto, só posso dizer que a maioria dos dias foram fantasticamente passados ao lado do Meu-Mais-Que-Tudo. (A “maioria” porque fiz uma pequena paragem em Lisboa para limpezas caseiras).

Palavras que resumam estas férias: água doce e salgada (muita) + miminhos + comida boa + aventura + romance + bronze + caipirinhaS + cocktails + ronha até mais não +  diversão + tudo de bom!

Não me lembro de em algum ano ter tido férias com tão boa companhia. Andámos por Maceira, Coimbra, Albufeira, Sevilha e TUNES! (Viva TUNES!!!!) Viagens para cá e para lá, mas só vida boa. Eu contava tudo aqui, mas quero deixar algo para o meu morzinho contar.

No entanto, deixo aqui uma amostrazinha:

Hi gang!

Since my birthday is 345 days, 1 hour ago, I’ve decided to take a few days off.

What better way to spend the morning of a lazy ass day, than to set up the enlarger I’ve bought recently?

My really issue was to get a table on my attic so I could put the enlarger, and other enlarging related stuff. There was this table, but it was too small. Luckily, when I got there, I’ve found a door, that would do just fine!

pretty neat! I even got the bonus of having a tap! Now, I only need the following items to start enlarging (let me remind you that my birthday is 345 days, 1 hour ago):

• developing trays (ebay) (ebay) …
• paper developer (fnac) (colorfoto) …
• safe light
• paper (fnac) (colorfoto: 1, 2, 3, 4, …) …
• print tongs (ebay) (ebay) …

and I am set to GO!

you can buy all of these at fnac.pt, colorfoto.pt or ebay! And yes, these are all very cheap items! (fnac for instance sells every single item on that list, I just couldn’t find them all on their website, same probably goes for colorfoto)

So don’t be coy, and bring your friend some joy! (what?!)
